Jayanta Mondal is a contemporary Bangladeshi visual artist based in Dhaka. He completed both his BFA and MFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Dhaka. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in socio-political realities, exploring how art can inspire awareness, reflection, and social transformation.
Alongside his studio practice, Jayanta is actively involved in art education and youth engagement, encouraging creative expression among emerging generations. In addition to painting and drawing, he is also experienced in acting and cultural organization.
Throughout his career, he has received several notable recognitions, including the Anwarul Haq Memorial Award in 2019, the Mahabubul Amin Memorial Award in 2016, and a scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh.
His artworks are part of several prestigious collections, including the Bangladesh National Museum, Indian High Commission, Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum, and Cumilla University.
