Educated in Sweden and the Philippines, she has taken her changing surroundings as an inspiration for new ideas in her artworks. A golden fort from Malta, sand dunes from the Sahara, and a glimmering boat in the Red Sea – always painted with festive colors that are no doubt inspired by Vinita’s roots in India. According to the artist, “Landscape is redefined in my work by the infusion of fantasy and abstraction, to create multi-layered works hinting at places that are rarely seen but often dreamed of.” Recently, Vinita’s work was showcased at India Art Fair, Art Chennai, India, Dhaka Art Summit, Bangladesh as well as Sikka Art Fair in Dubai. She has held 22 solo exhibitions around the world and has studios in both Delhi and Dhaka
